Course Profile This course is designed for anyone with a basic knowledge of wildlife, and a keen interest in protecting and restoring wildlife. Ideal for those restoring bushland areas such as bushcare/landcare volunteers, rural landowners, NPWS, LLS, and local council staff. Topics include
Ecology and habitat needs of local wildlife
How to find, record and monitor resident fauna
Managing bushcare and land management to benefit wildlife
Basic techniques to restore wildlife
How to access further information and support
Inspect “real world” sites which have assisted native wildlife. Finish the day proud and confident that you can make a difference.
Presenter is Peter Ridgeway. Peter is a volunteer with Cumberland Land Conservancy and has experience developing wildlife recovery and bushland management programs across western Sydney. Details:
This course is designed for those with some knowledge of native wildlife. Comprises one field day – Sunday 27 August 2017 9.30am – 4pm Transport is provided. Participants will be required to wear PPE suitable for bushwalking.
